One-a-Day Formula
Now with MCT Oil
Astaxanthin protects against cell damage from free radicals and helps to support overall health, especially when combined with a healthy diet and active lifestyle.
Regenurex formulas contain natural astaxanthin extracted from a local source of freshwater marine microalgae known as Haematococcus pluvialis, found here in British Columbia.
The algae oil is extracted gently using high-oleic safflower oil (nonGMO) and we add MCT Oil (nonGMO). It is free from artificial additives or preservatives.
We are the only Canadian manufacturer of astaxanthin, based in BC.
Unlike most antioxidants, Astaxanthin crosses the blood-brain and blood-retinal barriers and does not become a pro-oxidant.

About Regenurex
Regenurex’s main ingredient is natural astaxanthin—nature’s mightiest antioxidant. It fights off the harmful effects of oxidation caused by free radicals.
Your body naturally creates free radicals as byproducts of energy production. These free radicals are very unstable, highly reactive, and can damage DNA and tissue. When unchecked they can lead to a condition known as oxidative stress resulting in chronic inflammation—a major cause of aging and degenerative diseases.
Astaxanthin is considered to be nature’s mightiest antioxidant because it resides in the cell membrane and protects the cell from free radical damage. Astaxanthin neutralizes multiple free radicals, never becomes pro-oxidant, and can pass through the blood-brain and blood-retinal barriers. It’s also far superior to other antioxidants in its ability to scavenge and neutralize free radicals—65 times more powerful than vitamin C!
Astaxanthin is a natural anti-inflammatory agent and has been shown in humans to reduce C-reactive protein, a biomarker for inflammation (REF).
Food-based Sources of Astaxanthin
The human body does not produce astaxanthin so it needs to be consumed either through food or supplements. There are several natural food sources which are characterized by the distinctive red colour of astaxanthin. The most common include wild sockeye salmon, lobster, shrimp, and crab, which consume large amounts of natural algae-based sources of astaxanthin.
In order to obtain 12 mg of astaxanthin from food sources, you would have to ingest up to 4 servings of wild sockeye salmon every day. That’s a lot of salmon!
Why Regenurex?
- Natural astaxanthin sourced from freshwater algae
- Produced in controlled photobioreactors
- Proprietary natural extraction – never dehydrated or exposed to harsh chemicals
Regenurex is made from a naturally-sourced, local strain of freshwater microalgae, Haematococcus pluvialis, found in British Columbia, Canada. We grow our algae in pure, alpine water, in controlled photobioreactors. This provides optimum growing conditions to maintain the health of the algae throughout their lifecycle and reduces exposure to environmental contaminants. This process allows us to reliably reproduce the same consistent, high quality product.
Regenurex astaxanthin is unique because we use a proprietary natural extraction process. Our product is never dehydrated or exposed to harsh chemicals. In our extraction process, we gently mix the algae with a vegetable oil to extract the lipids (the algae oil) together with the astaxanthin. This ensures that Regenurex is the most natural astaxanthin on the market and preserves the benefits of the whole algae.
The natural process requires more effort, but we believe that it is worth it as the product has a sweet flavour profile and a pleasant odour and no fishy aftertaste.
Regenurex is sold as a human health supplement in the form of soft gel capsules, which contain astaxanthin combined with non-GMO, high oleic safflower oil to aid adsorption, and a small amount of natural Vitamin E to support stability. It is free from artificial additives or preservatives.
Suggested Dose
The suggested daily dosage of Regenurex is 8–16 mg (2–4 softgels). Clinical trials have evaluated astaxanthin at daily doses between 2–40 mg over 3 weeks to 2 years without any noted issues with toxicity. It’s best taken with food that contains a healthy form of fat (like avocado or yogurt) to aid absorption.
Our product is Health Canada approved and a maximum daily dose of astaxanthin of 40mg (10 softgels) is allowed in Canada. If needed, you can take more than the suggested daily dosage of up to 16 mg. Astaxanthin has received GRAS status in the United States, meaning it’s generally regarded as safe. There are no known side effects or adverse reactions.
